My story unfolds through conversations—in podcasts where I explore decolonial imagination, in interviews where I bridge Palestinian and Indigenous wisdom, and in articles where I wrestle with what it means to live faithfully in a divided world. As a Palestinian lived theologian from Nazareth, I've spent 15 years creating platforms for voices that often go unheard, particularly Palestinian women living behind walls both literal and metaphorical. My journey has taken me from the halls of Hebrew University in Jerusalem to Indigenous theology classrooms in Canada, always listening for how different communities experience the sacred. Through my podcast "Women Behind the Wall," my writing, and media conversations, I invite others into the stories that have shaped my understanding of faith, justice, and hope. Here you'll find the conversations and writings that capture my ongoing dialogue with the world—each one a step in learning how we can speak with rather than about each other.

WOMEN BEHIND THE WALL PODCAST

I co-created "Women Behind the Wall," a podcast that stands at the intersection of gender, religion, and conflict. Through intimate storytelling, we offer glimpses into the lives of Palestinian Christian women living under Israeli occupation. Rather than an ongoing series, this podcast was designed as an accessible entry point to the Israeli-Palestinian context, exploring how faith, identity, and resistance interweave in the daily experiences of women whose stories often go untold.

Music & Creative Work

"Keeper of Justice, Olive Tree" transforms the triumphant melody of "All Creatures of Our God and King" into a Palestinian Christian lament that cries out for justice amid state violence and systematic oppression. Originally written in response to protests and state repression in 2021, the hymn has evolved to include verses confronting genocide, moving through stages of pain, questioning, confession, and faith while finding God's presence not in distant power but in the rubble and whispered peace of communities under siege. This decolonized hymn replaces imperial imagery of divine kingship with the olive tree—a symbol of Palestinian rootedness, peace, and resilience—while maintaining the theological depth of traditional Christian worship through a lens of liberation.

This album is a collaborative work by our Palestinian community, featuring original worship songs that we collectively produced, composed, and wrote. The songs are performed in Palestinian colloquial Arabic, reflecting our commitment to celebrating worship through our distinctive cultural and linguistic identity.
